I bought an $800 foldable electric to check ebikes out in 2006. I liked
it, upgraded to a better bike, and have been driving one ever since.
Everywhere I went people would stop and ask me where I got it and where
they could buy one. They looked sad when I said I had it shipped from
B.C.
Eventually I decided to bring in a few and sell them in my spare time.
I just supply the bikes and parts that you can't get elsewhere. Things
like batteries are available locally at places like clear power
solutions so I don't stock them (I couldn't compete on prices).
I do
stock parts like controllers and motors.
I can order in things I don't stock.
I also do repairs. Call or email FIRST then bring the bike by for a free
evaluation. If it needs parts I'll identify them and let you
know how
much. I do this as a hobby so often don't charge for labour but will if
the job is time consuming or the individual is demanding.

I have been asked "Why don't I
upgrade my website with a better shopping cart and flash web plugins
etc.". Simple. I've found my customer base is mostly 45+ in age
and they are often still using windows 95 and ie4. It also fits in well
with the doing more with less philosophy of ebikes.
