Conversions and kits
A conversion kit takes a regular bike removes a wheel and puts an electric motor wheel in its place with the hardware to operate it.

I have a few ebike kits for sale. Kit includes: Front hub Motor, throttle, controller. I have one 250W, two 350W,  and two 500W motor kits. All 36V.  Can use any 36V battery NiCd, NiMH, Lithium or even SLA.

11.5 radius is a 26" wheel.

I mounted a couple on the below bikes for display

2nd hand Chopper
I have picked up and converted a chopper to electric. The rear wheel has been removed and an 18 inch 350Watt hub motor put in it's place. There is plenty of room for four 12Volt batteries to be mounted above the pedals(most common placement).  The controller IS new. Parted it is Easily $900+taxes without batteries($240). However the frame is 2nd hand, as is the motor. I am offering the bike without batteries at $400 after tax without batteries. Since there are multiple ways the batteries can be mounted I have refrained from doing so. For instance they could be mounted on the front forks, 2 to a side, or all four above the pedals, or in saddlebags across the top bar, or even two to a side on the rear metal arms the tire attaches to ( chainstay ).

Brushed 2nd hand kit $120

Charger
12 inch Front Wheel
12 inch Rear Wheel with Chain sprocket for motor
Throttle
Brake lever with motor cutoff sensor
Controller
250 W Brushed Motor WITH MOUNT PLATE and chain sprocket
You can see what these would cost you here (remember to factor in shipping and taxes) http://electricscooterparts.com/ Would cost about $400
You would need to make or mount it to a frame and then buy an appropriate chain length
